DorPIP provides parent infant psychotherapy and facilitated peer support groups to expectant parents and parents with babes under 2. Our vision is to inspire and nurture the human spirit. Building a society of emotionally secure children who flourish and grow up to become healthy, thriving adults. Our mission is to ensure that parent infant relationship support is available to all families who are struggling, for any reason, to form a strong, secure attachment with their baby. We are a registered charity, founded in November 2017 by Viv Allen.

Parent Infant Therapist 

We are looking for practicing psychotherapists, counsellors or infant mental health therapists who are passionate about promoting infant mental health and contribute to the vision and aims of DorPIP. You will need to be fully qualified with a relevant professional organisation, with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in working with parents and infants. You will need to collaborate and work very closely with the Clinical Lead, CEO and the other therapists in the team whilst meeting the needs of our clients. An important aspect of this role is being able to contribute and work to foster relationships with midwives, health visitors, Children’s Centres, GPs, relevant voluntary organisations and Early Years Practitioners, to generate referrals that are appropriate for parent infant therapy.
